How Our Ads Work
- The internet is where people go to research and find things. If your boat is not listed on the internet your missing out. A well designed Ad with good pictures lets the world see your boat. You can even view the statistics on how many times people have looked at your boat. Where else can you reach so many people for FREE or little money? We actively "Purchase Advertising" from Google and other search engines to drive people to our site.
- Our internet ads are designed to be "Printed Brochures" so you can have a sales brochure to place on your boat. If your boat is located in a marina or along a traffic area of any type this is important. While internet advertising is good the most likely person to buy your boat is going to be walking or driving by. Once you have made your Ad print out several copies in color if possible and place them in a water proof container on your boat. You can purchase those clear little plastic tubes at any home improvement store. I tell you this from experience. I sold my 36' Gibson Houseboat, my 25' O'Day sailboat and my last 2 houses to people walking or driving by.
- To create an Ad all you have to do is click on the Place An Ad link. We tried to make the process as simple as possible. You first create a user name and password then start the process of creating your Ad. You just fill in the blanks on the form and upload your digital pictures. There is room to tell your boats story. This is important because buyers want to know the history of the boat. When did you buy it? Why are you selling? Where and how did you use it? What about maintenance? Buyers need to know these things and appreciate an honest Ad that tells it like it is. The most successful Ads will tell the story of your boat. When you have completed the ad you get to review it before you pay anything. If your ad requires payment.Once completed the web site brings you to the Ad Manager page.
- When you create an Ad you get access to our "Ad Manager" that allows you to update and change information at any time. In the top right hand corner of the web site you will see a link labeled Advertiser login. Just click on that link and login and you have complete access to your Ad. You can also view the statistics of how many times your Ad has been viewed.
- We have the "Price Drop" option for your ad. If you decide to lower the price of your boat, buyers can then see the old price crossed out versus the new price. Therefore, if you occasionally drop the price you entice the buyers out there to look at your boat first. Hey it works for Walmart why not for you.
