Read This Before Getting Started
- Don’t worry making an Ad is easy. All you have to do is fill out the information in the form. Then upload your photos with easy to follow instructions.
- You will create a username and password that lets you go inside your Ad at any time and change whatever you want. We don’t even know your password. See our Privacy statement. All our Ads come complete with a Ad Manager that shows you the statistics (how many people have viewed your ad) along with other features see How Our Ads Work.
- Get all the information about your boat ready. Think about telling your boat's history. People like to know the story behind your boat. Just tell it like it is...buyers appriciate an honest description.
- Get good digital pictures in JPG format. Your photos will automatically be resized to meet the requirements of our site. Yet we recommend resizing your photos to 640x480 because upload times can be slow on a dial-up connection. The best ads will have a picture of every angle of your boat and a few of the interior and engine area. The smaller the size of the picture the faster it will display. If you do not know how to resize a picture or need a program that is easy to use, I recommend using a free program called Picasa2 located at the following link: http://picasa.google.com/index.html
- You will get to make and preview your Ad before payment to make sure your happy. If your Ad requires payment you will be transfered to PayPal where you will make payment and then get transfered back to the Ad Manager section of our site. We never see anything about your credit card all processing takes place at PayPal. If you have ever used eBay you will know PayPal. It is the largest credit card processor in the world, so your security is safe. The site will automatically transfer you to PayPal and when completed bring you back…no processing takes place on this site. We never see anything about your credit card just an email telling us we have a payment in our PayPal Account.
- I want you to be happy about using this website. The Free Ads are good but upgrading to a Captain or Admiral Ad for just a little bit of money will give you better exposure. It’s hard to beat FREE but if you want more pictures to better represent you boat or Featured Ad status it’s hard to beat $9.95 or $19.95. It’s all a good deal no matter which you choose.
